This Privacy Policy explains how Dark_Martha and Nightfall Syndicate handle information when you use this website, The Misfit Bot, other Discord bots, tools, hosted services, support systems, and related projects. A specific project may provide additional privacy information where its data handling differs from this policy.
Depending on which features a Discord server enables, a Nightfall Syndicate bot may process Discord user IDs, server IDs, channel IDs, role IDs, usernames, display names, nicknames, timestamps, command interactions, moderation records, warning and case information, ticket information, ticket transcripts, staff activity data, AFK status, leveling or experience data, temporary voice-channel ownership and ban lists, server configuration, automation settings, and other identifiers needed to provide the requested feature.
When a server enables logging or moderation features, the bot may record events such as bans, kicks, warnings, mutes, unbans, ticket actions, command use, message edits or deletions, nickname or display-name changes, and other configured server events. Logged information may include the relevant user, moderator, reason, evidence or notes supplied by staff, timestamps, channel information, and message content where that content is necessary for the configured log or transcript feature.
You may voluntarily provide information through commands, tickets, support requests, feedback, bug reports, forms, messages, evidence attachments, GitHub issues, or other project features. Do not provide highly sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely necessary for the support or moderation request you are making.
Information is used to operate requested bot features, apply server configuration, provide moderation and ticket systems, maintain logs and case records, calculate activity or leveling features, troubleshoot problems, improve projects, prevent abuse, protect the service, comply with platform rules, and respond to support or legal obligations where required.
The Misfit Bot and related locally hosted bot projects are designed to store their operational data in local JSON or other local storage on the bot host unless a project explicitly states otherwise. Data may also appear in Discord itself when a feature posts logs, transcripts, moderation notices, embeds, or other records into configured channels. Hosting providers and connected platforms may process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
Dark_Martha and Nightfall Syndicate do not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed when necessary to operate a service, work with infrastructure or hosting providers, comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, investigate abuse, protect users or services, enforce these terms, or report serious platform violations to services such as Discord.
Projects may interact with Discord, GitHub, Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, hosting providers, game stores, APIs, or other third-party services. Those services operate under their own privacy policies and may independently collect information about your use of their platforms.
Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the feature, maintain server records, investigate abuse, preserve moderation history, troubleshoot problems, satisfy backup or security needs, or meet legal obligations. Server owners or authorised staff may be able to remove certain bot data through available controls or by contacting Dark_Martha. Some records posted into Discord remain subject to that server's permissions and Discord's own systems.
Reasonable steps are taken to protect project data, but no internet-connected service, Discord bot, website, API, server, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Access to private bot data is restricted to the people and systems that need it to operate, support, secure, or maintain the relevant project.
You may stop using a project at any time. For questions about stored data, correction requests, or deletion requests, use an official contact method listed on the Links page. Some information may need to be retained where necessary for security, abuse prevention, moderation integrity, legal compliance, or the protection of other users and services.
This Privacy Policy may be updated as projects, features, storage methods, or legal requirements change. The current version published on this website replaces earlier versions from the date shown below.
